The report topic is attitudes about menopause. The research topic is interesting because everyone has menopause, people may do not know that. In particular, this project investigated the following questions to examine what people’s beliefs are about menopause and what the symptoms are in males and females; Do men and women have different ideas about menopause and what are the differences between men and women in physical, psychological and other aspects in menopause; what does the current research reveal about menopause from the physical and psychological aspects and can a good diet or healthy life style help people to defer the advent of menopause or reduce the symptoms. The main question is what are people’s beliefs and the symptoms of menopause. The research was undertaken by searching New Zealand Ministry of Health recommended websites and through surveys. It was found that most young people have no idea about menopause, and most people do not know about males’ menopause. Also a good life style can help people to reduce the symptoms of menopause. Suggestions found were important, including that women take various vitamins and do some soft sports, such as swimming and yoga. From the research, it can be concluded that menopause is an important period. One recommendation based on this research is that people should pay more attention to this life stage, not just elder people, also young people, to help reduce different symptoms. It is not enough to have a good lifestyle around menopause, in fact it is necessary to embrace a healthy lifestyle as early as possible.
There are two important biological development periods for people; adolescence and menopause. Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood in both males and females. Menopause is a transition period from being fertile in females, and in males is a longer process of aging-related hormone changing. However, menopause is usually used to talk about females. It is important and useful to know about people’s beliefs about this stage in human experience. This report will find out about what people’s beliefs are about menopause, and any differences in ideas between men and women, whether men and women have similar symptoms in the physical, psychological and other states in menopause, and whether a good diet or healthy life style helps people to defer the advent of menopause or reduce the symptoms.
