Intern – Small molecule inhibitors of PI3K-AKT-mTOR and CDK4/6-pRB inhibitors in spontaneous glioma mouse models and cell lines.
Analysed target inhibiting efficiency and substrate affinity to drug efflux transporters in the brain (P-gp and Bcrp) for CDK4/6 inhibitor PD0332991 and mTOR inhibitor AZD8055 in vitro and in vivo. Identified a PI3K inhibitor under trial in the clinic to cross the blood brain barrier and began a follow-up its pharmacokinetics.
