Obamacare
The purpose of Obamacare is to make healthcare available to any and all legal Americans. Being that there are a number of Americans who are currently unable to get health insurance, Obamacare has a purpose to help individuals get health insurance by expanding Medicaid and Medicare. It offers assistance to those who cannot afford healthcare. It focuses most on those populations in need such as rural areas, minorities, the poor, and women with children.
After researching what affects Obamacare has on rural areas and poor, I found that most low income Americans would enjoy more of Obamacare’s pros than its cons. It satisfies many individuals in such ways as allowing the opportunity to sign up for healthcare with or without income. It is especially a pro for those individuals without insurance. Those that are 25 and up become eligible for Medicaid, which is a plus because it is accepted in various places. One of the major cons I’ve found about Obama cares affect on low-income people is the fact that without Medicaid, it is only accepted for clinical use. This means that if an individual needed to go to the hospital, and did not have Medicaid, most hospitals would not accept the insurance coverage.
For women, those under Obamacare are required to pay no out of pocket payments for health services. Just as it does for those of rural areas, it provides health insurance to all women, even those of low income. Obamacare covers various
