A criticism often hear today is that people, not only adolescence but also adults, give up easily when they face several obstacles or failures, for instance, a student may give up doing a maths problem as long as he finds it difficult and an athlete may give up after he loses some matches. A friend of mine used to complain to me a that his teammates gave up to compete with their opponents when they are 20 points behind their opponents. It can not be denied that it has become a social issue and draw a lot of social concern. "What will you do if you are in adversity or meet up with several barriers?" This simple question has been risen again. Some individuals maintain that people ought to insist on doing the things without giving up while others ,on the contrary, assert that people could give up one issue as long as they can not continue doing the things and they do not want to waste time. After reading the novel, Robinson Cursoe. Robinson represents the spirit of never giving up ,never losing hope and always being grateful. I found that the spirit of never giving up and never losing the hope of the future ought to be appreciated. Kim 2
It is beneficial for people to follow this spirit of Robinson.

In a word, I had nothing about me but a knife, a tobacco-pipe, and a little tobacco in a box. This was all my provisions; and this threw me into such terrible agonies of mind, that for a while I ran about like a madman."(Defoe 59) As ordinary people,he is a little bit upset and hopeless towards the future. It is his words:" I had a dismal prospect of my condition; for as I was not cast away upon that island without being driven, as is said, by a violent storm, quite out of the course of our intended voyage, and a great way, viz. some hundreds of leagues, out of the ordinary course of the trade of mankind, I had great reason to consider it as a determination of Heaven, that in this desolate place, and in this desolate manner, I should end my life. The tears would run plentifully down my face when I made these reflections; and sometimes I would expostulate with myself why Providence should thus completely ruin His creatures, and render them so absolutely miserable; so
