Shoplifting One of the principal problems in our society is the delinquency, but one of most common is shoplifting. What is shoplifting? These are people who take things without paying or without permission from a store. The shoplifter usually does this by placing the items in their purse, pockets, or inside the clothing. It can also affect us in our life because if we have shoplifting on our record, it could be difficult to get a job. The consequences of shoplifting also affect us and, our family members. For instance, if we have younger siblings and our siblings are aware of the situation that we’ve shoplifted before, they might think it’s a good idea and that they can do it too. Older siblings are a big influence on younger siblings.
How many types of shoplifting are there today? There are six types of shoplifting like the Amateur, the kleptomaniac, the juvenile steals, the professional, the narcotics addict and the vagrant. To explain, the vagrants steal because of need. They take food, alcoholic beverages and clothing for personal use. However, the kleptomaniac steals compulsively whenever he gets the urge.
