Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressing disease that begins with just mild memory loss which can then result in lost ability it carry a conversation or to respond to the environment. This disease targets the part of the brain that controls your thought, memory, and language process, which then affect your daily activities. Now for those of you who do not know what dementia is, it is said to be a disorder that affect the brain. And people with this disease cannot think well enough to do normal activities which include: getting dressed, solve problems, eating, etc… and this often changes a person’s personality. There is no healing of any kind in regards to this disease. It progresses in three stages: preclinical stage, mild cognitive impairment, and the final stage (Alzheimer dementia).in the preclinical stage s/he may still be able to drive, work and be part of social activities. But during this time the individual will feel as if they are having memory lapses (forgetting familiar words/locations). The second stage with “mild cognitive impairment” they require more care. Things like becoming confused with words, getting frustrated or angry, or acting up in unexpected ways which include things like a person refusing to bathe, it gets harder for them to express their thoughts and perform routine tasks. The final stage, they lose their ability to respond to the environment, carry any type of conversation and soon enough control movement. Cholinesterase inhibitors are drugs that work only by boosting cell-to-cell communication chemically in the brain.
