If there was ever a time when America needed a person that would stand up for the rights and interest of African Americans, Bobby Seale was the man for the job. Currently Seale is 79 years old and he continues to make a difference in the community. By giving lectures to college students around the country about the Black Panthers as well as about social justice issues, including voting rights, education, employment and equality, he persists on inspiring a new generation in spite of his pass experiences of being arrested multiple times, convicted of 16 counts of contempt, sentenced to four years in prison, and ordered by the judge to be bound and gagged for speaking out (PBS/AARP).
