Mary Wollstonecraft is a powerful woman who was an English writer, philosopher, and an important part of women’s rights. She was born in April 27, 1759 and died September 10, 1797. Wollstonecraft married an English philosopher who died at 38 years old shortly after she had her second daughter. Not until the late 20th century did Wollstone's life receive more attention than her writing.

Wollstonecraft's accomplishments are her writing novels, treaties, travel narratives, the history of the french revolution, conduct books, and even children books. After she died, her publisher published one of her books called “ Memoir.” “ Memoir” was about her life. She many famous quotes like for example “ No man chooses evil because it is evil; he only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks” and “Taught from infancy that beauty is woman's secret, the mind shapes itself to the body, and roaming round its gilt cage, only seeks to adorn its prison.” She also published A Vindication of the Rights of Woman in 1792.

Her father was abusive, especially to her mother. Sometimes, when she was young, she would try to protect her mother.Because of this, she decided that marriage was bad. This affected her by her leaving home and becoming a writer. Mary married when she published “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman”, this opened up the idea to people that women were helpless.
