“The best teachers teach from the heart, not the book”. This quote didn't have much meaning in my life until my 3rd grade year at Sandhill Elementary. I was a new student at a new elementary school. I didn't know what to expect. I was terrified what was I gonna do? Who was I gonna play with at recess? All my fears vanished when I met my teacher. Her name was Mrs.Pless. Little did I know at the time that this woman would be the most amazing woman I had ever met. The first thing she did was introduce me to the class, then she went on to make sure I had someone that would help me around and be a friend. She did not have to do all of this but she did. She made me believe I was smart and capable of achieving great things. Mrs.Pless has influenced my life by showing me that anything is possible and to always have a kind heart in everything I do no matter how bad circumstances may become. Because of Mrs.Pless I have always soared for the highest and never settle for less. I lacked confidence and self motivation. Fortunately, Mrs.Pless was there and she did a wonderful job: she is intelligent, respectful, honest and very friendly. I thank Mrs.Pless for shaping me into the person I am today.Mrs.Pless is the kind of person that can make anyones day light up with just her presence and sweet attitude towards everything. What a lovely person she is, a friend, a guide and an educator all wrapped up in one. During our lessons, she would never let a student feel like they were being left out, everyone was included in some kind of way. She had a kind word for each in the class. I admire Mrs.Pless because she was and is a true role model for each and every child that comes into her classroom.
