The artist we had picked was Pablo Lehmann, with his typographical works. The main theme of all his works involves letters, using them not as words but as a frame for works and center points. He uses dark and light colored pages to induce value and keep the eye moving to where he wants it to go. Its about values, not the letters itself.

In the clip, it was decided on "How to Train Your Dragon: Watching the Shadows", in how the lighting director was Roger Deakins. Deakins was hired to figure out the lighting in HTYD, in his mastery of lighting and value. He is commonly known to be hired in live-action movies for his technique and skills. They brought him aboard to help direct the eye around scenes in the movie to help better emphasize characters.
