The American Political System is based on five major foundations of government. The five are popular sovereignty, separation of powers, checks & balances, federation, and individual rights. Popular sovereignty has the power to revise the government or change the constitution. The American Political System is divided into three principal powers; legislative, executive, and judicial. The separation of powers system is made to expand freedom and it takes place of several goals. Checks and balances make sure all three of the branches do not have more power over the others. Federation is a system of shared powers between two or more governments with control over the same people and area.

Those common values and principles have helped to sponsor attachment in the daily life of Americans and in times of troubles have allowed them to find common ground with those who are different from them. U.S. citizens are known for valuing, and respecting their individuality. Citizens maintain a spirit that has remained fearless even in the eye of the storm of global conflict. The American citizen is very flexible and equal when it comes to their actions and behavior. U.S. are fearless because they believe that they create and maintain their own destiny as a nation. U.S. citizens have also never felt the need to not speak up for themselves, and argue. The aspect of standing out allows them to be honest and express political opinion and live up to the delivery and commit upon them, together by our U.S. constitution. U.S. citizens are friendly and take that to the next level when it comes to global issues because of their concern for their country.
