The Boston Tea Party. One of the most well known events that takes place during the American Revolution, the Boston Tea Party lead to many events that helped build America, and separate us from Britain. On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty unloaded the ship. Them along with another 50 men dressed as Native Americans as a disguise got on the ship that night, then threw all the crates of tea off into the water. About 90,000 pounds of tea were wasted and the British were furious.
This all happened because the patriots, or the people who wanted to be free from Britain, where mad about the new Tea Act. The Americans saw the Tea Act as another attempt to to be taxed without consent. They were also scared weather the British government would
