Resp-2W is a department operated by intelligent and kind respiratory therapists. They aim to provide children the best treatment possible. Each morning they accompany the doctors, nurses, and other specialists in coming up with the best plan of care for to patient. Respiratory therapists aim to treat each patient effectively by caring for the airways. They are very knowledgeable and try to provide as much information possible to both their colleagues, patient family, and students. In Resp-2W, the respiratory therapists work closely with critical patients, constantly checking up on them and updating their family. The therapists also attempt to provide as many methods of treatment as possible. Resp-2W is a center that communicates with the entire 2W department, as well as with other department. During rounds, different departments visit each patient to create a plan according to their needs. At this time, nurse and respiratory therapists will update the physician on the state of the patient the last few hours or days. There will also be nutrition and social work. Nutrition will build a food plan from the plan created during rounds and discuss it with her colleagues. It is essential for all departments to communicate, not only among each other, but to the patient and their family. For safety procedures, the respiratory therapists must gel in and gel out as well as wear the proper safety gear. They must also clean all equipment and objects used.
