In the article “Anatoli Boukreev (responds to Krakauer)” by Anatoli Boukreev addresses his response to Krakauer’s “Into The Air” article in the event that they went to climb Mount Everest. He states that Krakauer’s article was unjustly critical of his decisions and actions on Mount Everest. Boukreev shares his credibility by stating that he has summited seven of the world's fourteen mountains over 8,000 meters in elevation 12 times, and the krakauer had failed in stating that in his article. Also, he defends his decision to go back down quickly so he can resupply people with oxygen and Scott Fischer backed him up. He also defended his decision to climb without oxygen because he was acclimatized and because he had practice. The last thing
