At this point, I am sure that you have read numerous essays on Moira Crone’s “Pecos Bill.” For the amount of times that I have read over my essay, I guess that I have also read a few “essays” on the story myself! The cardinal lesson that I pulled from “Pecos Bill” was the importance of small, seemingly insignificant actions, and the impact that they can have on an individual. As I read Crystal’s story, I began to relate to her. Even though I am not from New Orleans and I am not an alcoholic, I could understand, in some way the revelation that Crystal experienced. In order for her to realize that she could have a positive impact on others, she had to experience this herself; and when all the pieces fit together, it hit her like a ton of bricks.
