Mirapex I chose a video advertisement on the medication Mirapex. Mirapex is a tablet meant to help those with Restless Leg Syndrome, also known as RLS. In this commerical RLS is believed to be the tablet to cure your ongoing legs. When those who have RLS see this advertisement, are they really seeing and hearing what side affects may appear, or conditions this tablet has? Or are they just hearing the catchy tune, and hypnotised in the visuals? I'm going to prove that commerical ads are about the ways of distracting their audience with colors, and vocals. In this commercial theres many appeals such as the colors, imagery, vocals, background music, and then whats actually being said. For intense they use the design of a catchy 80's tune that makes you want to get up and go! Next they show the stick figure of yellow and green as drained, depressed, and sick of never having rest. Then they show him laying in bed with his legs in all sorts of pain, and weakness. That's just the beginning of them hypontising you think that you need not just want mirapex. After the character discovers mirapex, they keep the same background music, but slow the tune down instead of having it at a fast moving beat. Then they have the character kicking away the symtoms of RLS, such as constant pain, urge to move around, to on going. Next they show the figure relaxing with his feet up and his arms folded above his head in the shape of a heart. Now a few who have RLS that seen this advertisement believe that mirapex will work from them right, because that what the ad said correct? That's just another way they hook you from the inside out. Are their audience really listening, or even hearing what these people who claim to be helping them really saying? Are they
