Restorative Justice is based on repairing the harm caused by criminal behavior. Wormer says, “Restorative Justice aims at helping offenders to reorganize the harm they have caused and encouraging them to repair the harm, to extent as possible”(Wormer, 7).This shows that restorative practices is based on finding rehabilitation among offender to prevent future crimes. The role that I play in the class exercise is the Minister. The Minister helped John by protecting him .Also, minister purpose is promote peace in the community. I noticed that the community wanted to get rid of John because they believed that he was a high threat to the community. Community members did not want to give a second chance to John because he was an
Ex-offender who sold drugs to the children. John did not have nowhere to go .He went to the minister in order to get help. The minister gave him protection by letting him do community hours in the church.

Therefore, they are not hired because of past convictions. Also, they would be limited to education and jobs opurtunities.The jobs that they might acquire is low minimum jobs and no full time jobs. Also, they are not allowed to obtain public housing and no food stamps. They are not allowed to vote and obtain work licenses. The support that they can get is government programs for employers that were ex-offenders .Those programs would give them a chance to prove themselves that they changed. The program consist of by giving them jobs and help them restore their rights .Also, the government program would consist of job training and assist them with housing.
