Courtney Jurson – Reverse Discrimination During the slave trade, people like Harriet Jacobs, were not given the freedoms they had a righ to and were no treated with equality. Since then many people have fought to make equality for all a reality. In many cases, laws/rules have changed and attitudes have been swayed. This shows our country is progressing successfully towards this goal of egalitarianism. Nevertheless, I believe, people have become fearful of accidental offending someone and/or being blamed for favoring a particular race, gender, sexual orientation, etc..
