The Revolutionary War was not very revolutionary because the economics and the social life of the colonies did not grow very much. Although the U.S. did get freedom from Great Britain, the representatives of the colonies grew less wealthy than they were before the Revolution than after the revolution. Document 4 states: NH, NY, and NJ decreased in well-to-do after the revolution, wealthy decreased after the revolution, the number of moderate people increased from 17% (post-American Revolution) to 62% (after Revolutionary War), and poor showed no change (both results are 0%).
