Hello, I’m Cassandra Waletzko, a sophomore at Knox High School. Over the last two years I have participated in many extra curricular activities such as being a two year member of the varsity swim team, being a two year varsity speech team member, and member of the science club for one year. I have also earned a 6.32 GPA on a 6 point scale and I am a certified Life Guard with the American Red Cross. After school, I volunteer to help coach our Middle School swim team. I would like to say I am a well rounded and hardworking individual who has been chosen to represent Knox at the National Student Leadership Conference this summer.

The National Student Leadership Conference chooses students from around the country to go to a nine day educational program in the fiend of their choice. They offer programs for law, medicine, forensics, business and the preforming arts. I was first invited by the National Student Leadership Conference to fill out an application to determine if I was qualified for the program. After filling out and submitting the application, I was accepted to go to the program of my choice. I chose their Forensic Science program in Washington D.C at American University. I plan on attending college and majoring in forensic science with a minor in criminal justice, in order to become a Forensic Scientist. I have always been fascinated by law, catching the bad guys and putting them away. My love of solving crime and my abilities in the field of science, combined can give me a rewarding and successful career as a Forensic Scientist in the future.
