The scenario with the 8 years old girl with rhabdomyosarcoma was most problematic to me. Looks are not everything. If she had the surgery and it was successful, no telling what she could have gone on to do. She could have made a great contribution to society. Of course she probably would have faced some ridicule and weird looks, but we all face that anyway.
The scenario with the 40 years old man with diabetes and renal failure was the easiest for me to judge. If he's not going to properly take care of himself, then what's the point in the new kidney. With time the new kidney would more than likely end up failing also. I don't think that would be fair. I'm sure there's someone else out there needing that kidney that would value and take care
