The topic of racism revolves around America and it is always a prevalent discussion.
Both articles, “Thinking About What We See: Using Media Literacy to Examine Images of African Americans on Television” by Paula Tosi and “Hollywood is Kinda Racist—Reality Check, So is America ” by Britni Danielle argue on the topic of racism within one specific corporation, Hollywood. By providing this evidence, Danielle is stressing that a make-believe situation is not as horrible than that of a real-life murder. While Danielle gives the reader a different perspective of racism and demonstrates how one is more malicious than the other, Tosi provides a study done by a psychologist that focused on children, which is another subject that captures the reader's attention because we all may have siblings or young relatives and maybe one day have our own.
