This article is about presidential candidate Bernie Sanders accusing another presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, of repeating his message. This verbal attack happened on Monday, after Sanders’ loss in the Nevada caucuses on the previous Saturday.

Sanders uses the rhetorical strategy by including a piece of all three: ethos, pathos, and logos. He uses ethos because he knows he will get more public support due to the fact that his ideology appeals to young communities throughout the country. The younger generation is his specific group of supporters due to his promises of a better and less costly future in education. Next, he uses pathos by using his own emotions of anger to appeal to the emotions of the public. Finally, he uses logos by providing examples of him and Clinton having similar ideas as far as electoral promises go.

“Secretary Clinton, month after month after month, seems to be adopting more and more of the positions that we have advocated.” For instance, Sanders says that he watched an advertisement on television and thought it was his ad, until he saw that Clinton’s picture appeared at the end. In my opinion, Bernie Sanders rubbed off his anger of his loss in Nevada on Hillary Clinton. This way, in his perspective, he somewhat tried to alter the public view of Hillary Clinton, apparently making her a non-genuine thinker. By providing examples of how Clinton copied his message, Sanders definitely only makes himself seem like not only a defeated presidential candidate, but also a pathetic one. Regardless of his poorly planned steps towards fame and attention, I believe that Sanders is a suitable candidate and would be one to modify our future in America to the
