Rhetorical Analysis of “Euphemisms”
Comedian, George Carlin, unravels his views on euphemisms in his performance “Doin’ It Again”, where he justifies his ideas with humorous, witty examples. Carlin’s main desire was to show his audience how Americans have a very elementary way of tiptoeing around the truth. In order to appeal to his audience, Carlin emphasizes how much he dislikes euphemisms by using a great amount of sarcasm.
