In 1796, at the end of his presidency, George Washington wrote his farewell address letter to evaluate his time in office, and to assert his ideas for the country in the future. Washington integrates pathos, and emphasizes his plans for liberty and union for the states through many different examples, in order to make sure everyone feels unified.
