“I have a Dream”
In “I have a Dream” by Martin Luther King, it talks about how Negro slaves were never treated fairly and with the rights that we all have as people. He risked his life by making an emotional speech in front of the people. A place where there were people with different color skin that didn't get the respect they deserved. His speech explains the hardships that black people had to go through. The speech that he gave on August 23, 1963 showed a lot of integrity to all the people of his same color. He took the chance of making a difference in life, and he went a long way. “But one hundred years, the negro is still not free.” Said Luther King. He explains that after all of the documents and papers talking about freeing people have still not yet been confirmed. His speech talks about how people have written the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation but the Negro community is still not free. He wanted to make clear that we are all people and that they have the right to be treated fairly and that everyone has the right to live life with Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
