Throughout our lives we are taught and reminded about the issues we once and still deal with today, racism; One of which bring up MLK’s powerful speech “I have a dream” In King's speech he uses many rhetorical devices to bring the importance of what society was dealing with.
MLK uses a powerful tone to emphasize his repetition on the phrase “I have a dream” The way he uses this throughout his speech comes across very powerful, King shows how important the words he says completely true and how he strives for change in society.
With all this said, King uses allusion in his speech to show the true meaning and importance of the dream and change he wants for the people. King uses his background information based off of the Emancipation Proclamation
