Reagan already received the job of being president, but this speech was far more than an acceptance speech and his plans he has during his presidency, but rather he is trying to prove to those who voted against him and also those that voted for him that we are better when we stick together because of the opportunities we have such as “Freedom”.

Reagan’s goal was to unite everyone, and through the use of rhetorical and stylistic devices he achieved that goal. He pointed out the facts and used factual evidence to prove the success that unity and what love can do for a country from just one hero. Reagan’s main point is that we all have that same hero inside of us, so why not come together and use it as Americans.
