Even though many years ago slavery was abolished today in America Americans are still struggling for civil rights . Martin Luther King wanted to end discrimination, racial injustice and give every citizen an opportunity to have the American Dream. Fifty years after, the black lives matter movement mirrors the the ideas King mentions throughout his movement. Mr. King raises lots of rhetoric throughout his “ I have a dream “ speech that would signify that he would approve of black lives matter tactics today. The civil rights movement and the black lives matter movement both are fighting to defeat discrimination.
