Additionally, Franklin’s writes a passage in 1783 to describe the Indian practices when he writes about the interactions between them and the Colonists. The word “Savages” suggests that he will insult them because it has a negative connotation attached to it. Ironically, Franklin uses the phrase to challenge the American stereotype.
