There are good and bad qualities of commercial that companies use to advertise their products. Bad qualities are using bad actors that take away from the message of your commercial or it does not grab your viewers’ attention. Good qualities include using humor and emotions to get your viewers’ attention, also using a unique “jingle” music in your commercial. The 84 Lumbers-“Complete the Journey” is adequate to convince adults nationwide to buy their lumber because of their support of unity as a nation. “Complete the Journey” has many parts of pathos. Pathos means it appeals to emotions, as well as the beliefs and values of an audience. This makes them feel weary for the big journey they are pursuing. In this scene, it is also dim and cloudy with colors of tan and very dark green bushes. It makes it seem like their journey would not succeed as they had planned. As they make it to the wooden door of the wall the tune turns into an exciting and hopeful sound. The mother and daughter start feeling excited, making you feel hopeful that they have completed their task into the United States. It also makes you feel that after all the unsureness and worrying, they finally feel excited and hopeful for their new lives in America.
