In America, There are many momuments and stautes that are, and always have been, essentialn to our country and it’s culture. Now imagine, for a moment, that one of our most prized momuments was torn down, and half of it was stolen by another country. This is exactly what happened in Greece in 1687. In 2009, Christopher Hitchens wrote an article called “The Lovely Stones” to speak out and persuade his audience as to why they should have the Parthenon’s piece returned.
