The Seneca Falls Convention Keynote Address that Elizabeth Cady Stanton spoke at the convention had a very effective rhetorical appeal. She wanted women to stand up for themselves and help support the movement for women’s rights. She used many examples of rhetoric and it helped advance her point.

One example of rhetoric she uses is antithesis. “Have it, we must. Use it, we will.�? She pretty much just says that they will get their right to vote and they will use it. Another uses of rhetoric she uses is repetition. In the beginning of paragraphs 6 and 7 she says “The right is ours.�? She also repeats the word “right�? many times through-out the speech.
