A- What Is Hughes's purpose in recalling this event?
The purpose of remembering this event is that it was a religion event. It began with Langston, lying to his family by saying that the “Holy Ghost had come into his life”, but the truth was that none came to him. His was worry because he had done the wrong thing and his family thought that Jesus came to him, but he could not say anything because that means that he betrays his family.
