The Selfish Gene: Humans are Inherently the Worst In Richard Dawkins’ The Selfish Gene he discusses the fact that humans as a species are inherently selfish. By using scientific knowledge of many different subjects, Dawkins makes his point evident. In the introduction Dawkins begins by discussing the need for reflection of the history of a species to be able to sufficiently judge if it’s charitable, specifically its origins. That leads to the discussion of the Theory of Evolution, and Dawkins centers his argument on Darwin’s idea of natural selection.
