Feynman: Portraying a Colorful Character Richard Feynman is one of the great contributors to humanity of the 20th century. He started out as a relatively unknown physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project to becoming a Nobel Prize winner for his proposal of Quantum Electrodynamics. After his contributions to the science community, he became a renowned educator and a leader in advocating for government transparency through the Roger's commission. However, his colorful personality was what truly set him apart from many of the other scientists of his time. His recent biographies Feynman and Quantum Man: Richard Feynman's Life in science show the rise of interest of him as a person (Dyson, 1). Through the graphic novel Feynman, Feynman's personality is better captured portrayed than in most prose accounts due to the use of colorful images and interesting dialogue. Feynman is looking at the dress and he is thinking about how it looks pretty and Arline would like it( Ottaviani 97). This shows Feynman's love towards Arline and how much he cares about her because he is being reminded of Arline by things that she might have liked. When he cared about something, he was extraordinarily committed to it just like he was to Arline Later on in his life Feynman received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his work in Quantum Electrodynamics and all recipients are required to give a speech at the banquet. However, Feynman initially rejected the prize, but was eventually pressured to receive it. In Feynman's banquet speech, he
