In the 1920 the American people were told a lie, the lie was that the stock market was never going to drop. The people were told that they were at a time where the stock market had worked out all the kinks. Then all the people in the country put their money in the stock market. When it crashed they were all screwed. Then 68 years later the housing market crashed, The bank were financing houses that they knew the people could not pay for, they were also taking risky investments. When it all fell through and it came up to the banks they could do anything but try to get out of town. Then what did our great government do? They bailed out the big bankers. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that we are no longer in a great recession, but I think we could've done something different. In one of his complaint ad he said “Never has there been so much military and money aside so inevitably as in Vietnam. If after all of this time and all of this stacorfies and all this support and there is No end in sight….. I pledge to you we will have an Honorable end to the war” (Richard Nixon). At this time the people were fed up with the war and how things were being handled in our country. There was so much devotion in the country that people couldn’t sit down to a meal without getting into a heated debate about the war and which directions the country should head in. This is what the people wanted to hear for a new content, but what the people didn't know was that it wasn't as simple as just pulling all the troops out of Vietnam.
