- NO reverse transcriptase would not work based on a DNA template because RNA and RNA transcriptase work together because they are both single stranded that is why we use an RNA template. DNA is double stranded so it would not work.

2. What kind of RNA would be copied if an oligo dT primer was used instead of a primer that was gene specific?
- mRNA would be copied if you use an oligo dT primer.

3. What would be the outcome of a genomic DNA contamination in the reaction set up? Why would it affect the reaction?
- You could get over amplification of your DNA due to genomic DNA contamination. This would affect your reaction because you will get false results due to that over amplification.
