The “Roaring 20s” was a time of significant social and cultural change. After the war, Canada and the US had one of the biggest economic booms in history. A culture of consumerism started and formed a new willingness to spend extra money. Many new inventions were created during this time, such as the radio, telephone, and television. On top of this, cars became much more popular, and so more roads were created to accommodate them. The 1920s brought many artistic changes as well. Fads spread across the US and into Canada, bringing a new emphasis on fashion.
