Don’t we? More often than not, we don’t even risk trying something owing to our fear of failure. How does this relate to fitness situations? An overweight person fears that he may start a weight loss program but leave it midway. He feels he can stay off carbs for a week maybe, but as soon as he sees his favorite dish, he won`t be able to resist the temptation to eat it. So, he does not even join the weight loss program. This is a classic case of a vicious spiral of negativity which stops you from acting in your own best interests.

There are always going to be distractions. People will ridicule you when you try something new. They will pull you down – magnify each of your lapses, discourage you, each step of the way.
