In the play Othello written by William Shakespeare, the main character, Othello, has very malevolent thoughts placed in his head by his “ best friend” Iago. This causes him to make horrible choices that pave the path towards destruction and chaos. Othello is the main reason for the deaths of various people in the play like Emilia, Iago’s wife, and Desdemona, Othello’s wife.
