As the main character in Anthem, Equality is the few exceptions that is interested in the Ancient Time and actually tries to view himself as an individual. He sees his unusual side but does not want to change it because he believes that it is part of him, and by the belief, he successfully flees the city where he used to believe his whole world. For the most part, it is not the outside factors that are the obstacles of one’s life but one’s mind. Equality, who is at the same starting line like others, actually finds out a way to get hold his own life and perspective that he did not imagine before.
