I personally like the newer version of Romeo and Juliet myself because of the more modern themes. The character are not so dull and the setting of the move isn't so medieval time. The action in the movie do not look fake like the first movie. The character who plays Romeo to me is more like us teens nowadays. LIke the way they dress in the old movie you could tell who was a capulet and who was a montague in the older move because they all wore the same cloth. Then in the new movie the capulet wore more dark colors and then the montague wore bright colors. The prince used different words than the older movie. “Rebellious subjects, enemies to ancient citizens Cast by their grave beseeming ornaments To wield old partisans, in hands as old,(90)Canker'd With peace, to part your canker'd hate.If ever you disturb our streets again,Your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace. For this time all the rest depart away. You, Capulet, shall go along with me;(95)And, Montague, come you this afternoon,To know our further pleasure in this case,To old Freetown, our common judgment place.Once more, on pain of death, all men depart. The second thing i noticed that was different about the newer version was that they used guns instead of swords but they called it a sword. like Romeo cousin Mercutio name on his gun was dagger.
My naked weapon is out. Quarrel! I will back thee.SAMSON . The props and transportation is different they used car instead of horse for transposition the setting was different. The setting was in LA this time last
