Summary
Romeo and Juliet is a love story that went terribly wrong. We start in the streets of Verona where young Montagues and Capulets quarrel. The Prince intervenes telling the young fighters that if their families shall quarrel again, death will be shed. That day a servant comes to Romeo and his gang and asks them to help him read the invitations. Romeo's buddy recognizes Romeo's ex girlfriend is on the list so he suggest they attend. While a the party Romeo does not pay attention to his ex girlfriend, but is instead fixated on the Capulet daughter, Juliet. Juliet also notices Romeo, they meet and fall in love. That night the two have a heart to heart at Juliet's tower. When the two realize that night that they are from feuding families they do not end their relationship like they should have done, but instead they fall in love and plan to get married. In the morning the two meet at Friar Lawrence's cell and are wed. Later that day Romeo's friend Mercutio is killed by the fiery Capulet cousin, Tybalt. Romeo avenges Mercutio's death by killing Tybalt, because of this act of valor, Romeo is banished. Capulet is unaware that Juliet is married so he arranges for Juliet to marry Paris on Thursday. Juliet is terribly sad and decided she cannot marry Paris and live without Romeo. She goes to the Friar for help. He suggests that she take a sleep potion that will make her appear dead, and that when she wakes Romeo and himself will be waiting. Juliet takes the potion that night. The Friar sends Friar John to deliver the message to Romeo. The following morning the Nurse finds Juliet dead, the wedding arrangements were soon changed to funeral arrangements. Romeo's friend Balthasar sneaks into the funeral horrified by what he finds he rushes to Romeo to tell him the devestating news. Romeo rushes to the burial grounds. Meanwhile Friar John returns telling Friar Lawrence that he could not deliver the message. While Romeo is riding to Verona he stops and gets some potion, intent on the idea of killing himself once he sees his dead Juliet. Once at the tomb Romeo griveves when Paris comes in, they quarrel, Paris dies. Taking one last look at his Juliet, Romeo takes the potion. When Juliet wakes she finds her dead husband next to her and stabs herself to death.

Intervention

Romeo and Juliet both committed suicide that could have been prevented. One way to save Romeo and Juliet is to never have them meet. The Capulets should have had a servant that was able to read, thus not having the aid of Romeo and Benvolio in reading the invitation. A servant was assigned to deliver the invitations for the Capulet party, the only problem was the servant couldn't read. “I pray sir, can you read?” (Romeo and Juliet 1.2.61). The servant asked Romeo and Benvolio to help him read the invitations, unaware that the two were Montagues. Benvolio looked at the list and saw Rosaline, Romeo's ex girlfriend, and he suggested that they should go to the party so that Romeo could meet other girls to get over Rosaline. If they hadn't gone to the party Romeo and Juliet would have never met that night and maybe never have fallen in love. Also if they had met outside of the party they would know that there families were enemies

Introduction
"A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their death bury their parents' strife”(Romeo and Juliet Prologue.6-7). This quote explains exactly what happened to Romeo and Juliet. The tragedy of these to star crossed lovers ,Romeo and Juliet, could have been prevented in many ways.

Recommendation

Friar Lawrence could have helped Romeo by listening to him and taking his suicide threats seriously “Hence-banished is banish'd from the world, And world's exile is death: then banished”(Romeo and Juliet 3.3.21-22). As you can see Romeo is saying how he is banished so he might as well be dead and Friar does not do anything about it. Juliet's nurse could of helped Juliet
