As teenagers, Romeo and Juliet were much too young for their relationship! Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare about two lovers kept apart by their families, who were sworn enemies. When Juliet is arranged to be married to another man, she and Romeo resort to suicide. These deaths, although avoidable, eventually brought their families together. Clearly, the teenage love seen in Romeo and Juliet is not real love. Many of the characters presented throughout the play have shown that they don’t believe their love was real.
