The play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, focuses on two star-crossed lovers who eventually get caught up in their problems while secretly seeing each other. As soon as Romeo and Juliet make their vows, many problems arise to the point that the young lovers confusion made them dagger and poison themselves. It all began when they laid eyes at a party and kissed, although they were complete strangers. From there, the love and struggles of keeping their love a secret became stronger. The conflict and tension soon rose to a point that began to make death and suicidal thoughts creep into Romeo’s thoughts. Romeo and Juliet never faced their conflicts, and depended on Friar Lawrence to fix all the broken pieces. Friar Lawrence knew about everything and only wanted to help end the Montague and Capulet feud by marrying the two lovers. The friar’s intentions were not what Romeo and Juliet had in mind which backfired by getting the two of them into even more trouble. Even the plans he carefully put together foiled since the teens were too eager and impatient. The marriage was too much for them to handle since the lies and secrets piled onto each other. Many may argue that the two feuding families, Friar Lawrence, or one of the two lovers were the ones to blame. Both Romeo and Juliet were too young to do many things on their own and expected things to go an unrealistic way. The two deciding to marry was the major turning point throughout the tragedy. The unknown marriage made Juliet fall into the conflict of marrying another man and Romeo killing Tybalt since he was unaware of the two star-crossed lovers. Besides, who were the ones to drink the poison or either drive a dagger to put themselves out of their misery?
