In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Juliet’s personality flaws caused the events that lead to her fateful death. Because Juliet was so young, naive, and had unstable emotions, she made immature decisions that led to the end of her life. Everything she went through could have been easily avoided if she didn't act on her unjustified thoughts of love.
In act I, scene 3, the capulet women are introduced with one of Lady Capulet’s first lines being “...Thou knowest my daughter’s of a pretty age.” In this, she is arguing with the nurse that her daughter, Juliet is ready to marry at the mere age of 14. Juliet objects to this with “It is an honor I dream not of.”
“You kiss by the book” Juliet says as she kisses a stranger named Romeo she had just met at the Capulet party in scene 5. “Go ask his name.—If he be married, my grave is like to be my wedding bed” she says to the nurse revealing her sudden, but

In this line she is offering to give up her family name and maybe even her loyalty all for Romeo. Act II ends in the marriage of Romeo and Juliet, too soon and uncalled for.
In act III, Romeo is declared banished for the murder of Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin. The nurse questions whether Juliet will still love Romeo after murdering her dearly loved cousin and Juliet replies with “Shall i speak ill of him that is my husband?” and further defends Romeo, not seeming to be bothered that he murdered Tybalt. Although he killed her cousin, Juliet has no problem with calling this man “...my lord, my love, my friend” in scene 5
Act IV and V consist of the events leading up to Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. These acts are full of irony due to the fact that Romeo and Juliet haven’t been able to make contact with each other and mistakenly kill themselves all due to a small misunderstanding.
