Northrop Grumman employee Roy Bridges was recently presented an award from National Nuclear Security Administration for his leadership work in getting the Nevada Nuclear Site back on track and earning excellent ratings, after a series of incidents indicated some concerns.
The series of incidents at the site culminated with a barrel blowing up and some workers receiving minor injuries. Roy was appointed to head up a team to assess the situation and make recommendations for improvements. Roy and his team did their evaluations and recommended 5 Pillars of Operation Excellence, which included some of the best practices NG has no since established has useful.
After Roy and his Team made these recommendation, he was asked to go back and implement
