The name of our Rube GoldBerg machine was A Journey through Jurassic Park. The machine was invented by the great minds of Haley Spurlin, Blanca Hernandez, Angela Juarez, Danica Gist, and Latrell Surratt. The purpose of the machine was to harness the power of water to water a plant. The machine was invented because the 11th grade teachers at CECHS wanted to challenge us on our creative abilities. The machine works by starting off with one marble that rolls down to hit two marbles, which then roll down in different directions through tubes and each marble hits another marble. Then the two or all the marbles fall into a cup filled with water, which is tipped over by the weight of the marble, resulting in the watering of the plant.
