Rudy Reflection In the movie "Rudy", the main character, Daniel Eugene "Rudy" Ruettiger who is ambitious from childhood and his dream it to play on the Notre Dame University football team. However, before Rudy can achieve his goal, he has to set some short term goals to help him accomplish his goal of playing for Notre Dame. One of Rudys short term goals is to become better at football. When Rudy was younger and when he was in highschool, he was a very average player so he lacked the talent and physical structure to play football at a high level. Rudy does this by joining the football team and training and becoming better so that he can join the team. Some of the barriers that Rudy may encounter are that he can get injured or he could be busy and not train. Another short term goal of Rudy's is to save up money. Notre Dame is to save up money. Since College is very expensive, Rudys is going to need a lot of money to get into, stay and pay off his tuition. Some strategies would be to save up and to get a job. Some possible obstacles is that he might be injured and not be able to work. Another obstacle would be that he might be lazy and not want to go to work. Another short term goal would be to get his marks up. Before anything, Rudy has low marks and to go to Notre Dame, you have to have high marks. He needs to talk to people to get him into other colleges to get his marks up and be eligible for Notre Dame. Some obstacles may be that his marks are too low for anything and
